Pippa Tshabalala is the On Air and Creative Services Manager at The Walt Disney Company Africa, overseeing a team that produces promo and marketing assets for a wide range of channels. Pippa has a diverse background in television, animation, video games and academics. She has worked as a lecturer, television presenter, magazine editor and a content and promo producer. She spoke at TEDxSoweto in 2013 on the subject of video games as a medium for social change, and was listed on the Mail & Guardian’s Top 200 Young South Africans in the same year. In 2016 she was listed on BrandSA’s 40 under 40. She has hosted and spoken at numerous tech events, including co-hosting disruption conference BCX Disrupt with keynote speakers Will.I.Am and Malcolm Gladwell. She holds a BA Fine Arts and MA Fine Arts (Digital Animation) from the University of the Witwatersrand.
