Samira Gerin-Singh is the newly appointed Media Networks Marketing Manager for The Walt Disney Company, responsible for National Geographic, FOX and Disney channel brands on the continent.
While her previous portfolio as Head on On Air and Creative Services for then, FOX Networks Group Africa, included overseeing brands across entertainment, factual and sports genres, Samira’s work has always been grounded in National Geographic’s ethos of “Entertainment with Purpose” which she believes should be at the heart of everything we do and create.
She is a local and international award-winning creative with over 14 years of experience working both in creative agencies and broadcast networks as a promo producer and later creative director. At Fox Networks Group Africa, she has been involved Empire’s Taraji P. Henson and Terence Howard SA tour in 2016, overseeing the ratings-driving featurette covering their visit; coordinated the inaugural FOX Sports Africa Boxing event in Nairobi in 2017 and launched the first ever National Geographic interactive exhibition in Africa earlier this year.
Samira has spoken at The Promax Conference in New York in 2018, as well as at Promax Africa in 2017 and 2018.
