Pippa Tshabalala is the On Air Manager for Viacom International Media Networks Africa, where she oversees the On Air team, producing promos and graphics for all the African brands (MTV Base, MTV, Comedy Central, BET, Nickelodeon, Nicktoons, NickJr). Pippa has a diverse background in television, animation, video games and academics. She has worked as a lecturer, television presenter, magazine editor and a content and promo producer. She spoke at TEDxSoweto in 2013 on the subject of video games as a medium for social change, and was listed on the Mail & Guardian’s Top 200 Young South Africans in the same year. In 2016 she was listed on BrandSA’s 40 under 40. She has hosted and spoken at numerous tech events, including co-hosting disruption conference BCX Disrupt with keynote speakers Will.I.Am and Malcolm Gladwell. She holds a BA Fine Arts and MA Fine Arts (Digital Animation) from the University of the Witwatersrand.
